Music & Creative Movement

Our music program was developed by Nancy Wight, our early childhood music teacher, for her M. Ed thesis at Antioch University. This seasonal curriculum is based on the most recent research in the field of early childhood development, and it includes singing, dancing, rhythm chants, playing rhythm instruments (drums, rhythm stick, egg shakers, jingle bells, resonator bells), finger plays, and other fine and gross motor activities. All of the music and creative movement activities are presented in a fun, developmentally appropriate manner.
