The Greatest Story
The little Baby Jesus
Was born upon the hay.
Along came the angel sending
Shepherds on their way.
Out came the bright star
For Wise Men and their gold.
And that is the greatest
Story ever told.

If the weather becomes severe during the day, we will notify parents as soon as possible that your child(ren) will need to be picked up by a specified time.
If a snow day falls on a day that your child is regularly scheduled for, you are responsible to pay for that day.
Nashua Public School late delays and public AM Kindergarten cancellations DO NOT effect our hours or regular class sessions.

NCLC Pastor’s Corner
Merry Christmas to you and your family! I am sure you are very busy with all the shopping and gatherings of family and friends. When we give gifts to our family and friends this season, we follow the pattern that God showed when He gave Himself to us in human form as Jesus Christ. He came to show how much He loves us by paying the penalty for our sin. He sacrificed Himself because He wants a relationship with us. So, during the Christmas season, please take time to enjoy your family and friends and remember that God loves you and wants a relationship with you.
I have been so enjoying spending time with all the children. I love their curiosity and their sense of accomplishment when they learn something new or prove they can do something they couldn’t do a week ago.
Bible Story Themes: During the weekly Bible story and follow up activity the children have with their teachers they will learn how Jesus’ birth was different from any human child. It was as remarkable as God Himself and as truly unique as Jesus is.
Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the stories they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember. They will also be learning a Bible verse and songs.
Chapel Dates and Times: Community Chapel pastors will have 30 minute chapel for NCLC children on December 13th and 14th starting at 9:30 in the sanctuary at Community Chapel. We would love to have you come!
A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, the death of a grandparent or even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.
If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.
Hope you have a great Christmas season!

Nancy’s Notes
The month of November was spent experimenting with some different kinds of drums. First, each child was given a hand drum, and we played with finding the beat of the music and playing it on our drums. The children were delighted that the hand drums could also be used as steering wheels for the “Car Song.” They also discovered that if they turn the drum over and sing into it, they could feel the head of the drum “tickle” their fingers! The large gathering drums are always popular, and we practiced playing with different dynamic levels and rhythm patterns. I noticed that with the children seated around the gathering drum, following my lead, they are more likely to be able to drum correctly to the steady beat of the music because they have the physical feedback of the other children playing the same drum.
We continue to play the “echo game” every week, during which I make up a rhythm pattern with my voice and/or instrument and the children echo me back. Yesterday, I was amazed to see that each and every kindergartner was able (and pleased!) to make up their own rhythm pattern for the class to echo back!
I am bringing back children’s Christmas favorites for the month of December. They are already requesting “Jingle Bells”!
Happy Singing!
