NCLC Pastor’s Corner
It’s April! It’s Spring! We have more than 12 hours of daylight!
This month we look forward to Palm Sunday April 9th and Easter, April 16th! We will be celebrating Easter at Nashua High North in the auditorium at 10 AM! If you don’t have a place to celebrate, we would love to have you join us.
During the weeks leading up to Easter is a good time to think about God’s amazing love for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to pay the ultimate price to have a relationship with us. I have been privileged to have a relationship with God for 60 years and His love still amazes me.
Right before Easter is a good time to talk with your children about God’s love and His amazing sacrifice for us. There are a lot of great books you might want to read with your children to help introduce Easter and why we celebrate it.
Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the story they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.
Easter chapel is at 9:30 on April 4th, Tuesday, and April 5th, Wednesday. I hope you can come. The story is from the perspective of the little donkey that carried Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Please ask them about it. It will help them remember.
A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.
If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.

Nancy’s Notes
Spring weather is coming late this year, so instead of starting our spring songs, we ramped up the indoor fun by adding some extra movement activities and games. The children are always asking me for one of the train songs, so we made a train, using our egg shakers to make the sound of the train on the tracks, and everyone followed me around the room, marching to the beat of the music. We went up a hill, slowing our steps, but then we went down the hill and picked up speed until we were running around the room – this is their favorite part! – and then we slowed back down as the train came into the station. The children have learned that this game is more fun when everyone stays in their place on the “tracks” behind the person in front of them, and they have gotten pretty good at the self-control this activity requires! Last week, we broke out the parachute and will continue singing and playing with that for the first few weeks of April. We also played some games with balls – pairing up and rolling the ball to the music back and forth.
Next month, if spring actually gets here, we will bring in the bird and bunny songs, just in time for Easter!
Happy Singing!
Nancy
