Registration 2015 – 2016
January 12th thru January 16th
In-house registration will be held during the week of January 12th to 16th. This is your opportunity to secure placement for your child for the 2015 – 2016 school year at a $75.00 registration fee before we open registration to the public on January 20th. If you do not re-register your child by January 16th your space will not be guaranteed.
A packet of information regarding registration will be sent home the week of January 5th.
New Hampshire Car and Booster Seat Laws
In New Hampshire, a child must be in a child restraint. As of January 1, 2014, New Hampshire law (RSA 265:107-a) requires that children ride in an appropriate child safety seat until they are 7 years old or 57 inches tall (whichever comes first). Using a child safety seat with a harness or a booster seat will meet this requirement. Parents must buckle each child’s seatbelt before leaving the curbside.

A tax statement will be sent home to all NCLC families along with your January invoice.
January 19th – Martin Luther King Day
No Classes: Child Care Only
A sign-up sheet will be available for you to indicate your child care needs.
Outside Play
All classes (except 8:45-11:45 classes)
Please send in adequate winter clothing (boots, hats, snow pants & mittens) for your children. We feel that a few minutes of fresh air is helpful to them. It is a nice change from being inside all day. Morning only classes do not go outside for recess unless your child’s teacher requests snow gear.
Dear Parents: All children except for morning only and 9:00am – 2:00pm students must be signed in at arrival and signed out at departure in the attendance book in the school lobby each day. Also, please make sure a staff member acknowledges your child at drop off. If your child will be absent on any given day, please call the office. There is no tuition credit for absences.
Security Measures
Although we have a security system in place and an Emergency Response Plan to follow we are always taking steps for better protection in the event of an emergency.
Please do your part! Our security system prevents unauthorized access if it is used correctly. Do not let anyone in behind you unless you are sure that person is allowed access. A parent or guardian without a key should use their cell phone to call the school and a staff member will let them in.
Sick Policy
Please review our sick policy on pages 14 and 15 of your parent handbook. For the protection of all children and staff, your child should be kept home for 24 hours after the last symptom is shown. (Please refer to symptoms on pages 14 & 15).
NCLC Pastor’s Corner
I hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Even though I am sure you were very busy with all the shopping and gatherings of family and friends, I hope you took time to think about the greatest gift God gave us. God gave Himself to us in human form as Jesus Christ. He came to show us how much He loves us and wants a relationship with us. So, as you plan and get started in this New Year remember that God loves you.
Bible Story Themes: During the weekly Bible story and follow up activity from now until just after Easter, we will be learning about Jesus’ life here on earth. Specifically during January, the children will be learning about Jesus’ childhood and early ministry. They will learn that Jesus was a boy and grew up just like they are. He lived a quiet life learning to be a carpenter like his father and worked until He was 30. After He was baptized by John the Baptist (His cousin), He started His public life. He called His disciples, began teaching and showing that He was the Messiah that they had been waiting for.
Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the stories they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.
A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.
If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.
