welcome back bannerWelcome to the 2015-2016 school year at Nashua Child Learning Center.  We appreciate your co-operation with our first few days of school.

Classes are well underway and the children are adjusting to their new schedules.  We consider it a privilege to have your children and enjoy watching them grow through various stages of development.

We want to keep you aware of the happenings at N.C.L.C therefore a newsletter will be sent home at the beginning of each month. Please take time to read the important notices in these monthly newsletters.  Also, please keep your parent handbook handy during the school year as a reference guide and pay special attention to the school calendar.

You are free to visit our classes or call the office with questions or concerns.  Please keep us informed of any changes in your child’s behavior or home routine.  It is vital that we work together for the benefit of the children.

Thank you for sharing your children with us.  We look forward to a rewarding and exciting year.

Important Reminders

  1. Payment Schedule and Late Fees Please review our policy regarding tuition payments on pages 25 of your handbook. If payment is late there will be a $25.00 late fee. If your tuition is more than 2 weeks past due your child may be dis-enrolled. This policy will be strictly enforced.
  2. Morning students Tuition payments are due on the first school day of the month.
Child Care students – Tuition payments are due on the first school day of the week for the week coming.
  3. Please, please, please on your check, write your child’s name. We have several children with the same last name and some whose names are different from their parents. Also, indicate the week you are paying for. This allows us to verify our records with yours.
  4. Security Cards – An additional security card may be purchased by completing the form that you received at open house. There are also forms near the sign-in table in the school lobby. $5.00 must accompany your completed form. *You must have your pass card with you at all times to enter the building.
  5. Office hours – Christine Hagerty our Administrative Assistant is available Monday thru Friday during the hours of 9:30am – 5:30pm for billing information.
  6. Notes from teachers of AM students and 9:00-2:00 students – Please pass any notes or checks to the teachers in carpool. It is not the teacher’s responsibility to check the backpacks each day.
  7. Carpool – Carpool will start at the N.C.L.C. entrance. Your child must sit on the passenger side of your car so that unloading can be done curbside. Parents, you are responsible for securing your child’s seatbelt at pick-up. Please stay in carpool line. Do not park your car and cross the lot to get your child. If your child sees you they may run out to meet you. Please continue to display your child’s name in your windshield. It helps carpool move faster.
  8. All Child Care Parents– Please do not park your car curbside or in the handicapped spaces. You must park your car in a parking space and take your keys with you. Do not leave your car running.
  9. Sign-in book – All child care children must be signed in and out every day with time of arrival and departure. This sign-in/out procedure is a State of New Hampshire Child Care Licensing regulation that we must follow. Please sign your name in the appropriate box at the end of the week.
  10. Pick-up – a note must be given to your child’s teacher if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child. This person must be able to supply a state issued documentation of their identity (a driver’s license). It is just as important for us to know if there are certain persons who must never pick up your child. If custody is a concern you must give us a legal document that specifies so.
  11. Late Pick-Up (after hours) – We close promptly at 5:30pm therefore we expect all children to be picked-up by 5:30pm. A late pick-up fee will be charged if children remain in the center past 5:30pm. The fee is $1.00 per minute per child for each minute after 5:30pm. This policy will be strictly enforced.
  12. Emergency Info – Please keep the office updated on any changes in phone numbers and emergency info.
  13. Labels – As stated in your handbook, “all clothing and personal items must be labeled.” It is very difficult to keep track of backpacks and belongings when there are no names on them. All bedding for child care children must be taken home and laundered every Friday. Our cubbies are small so please send a child size fitted sheet, one small blanket and a small pillow.
  14. Peanut Allergies – Due to severe peanut allergies please refrain from bringing foods containing peanuts.
  15. Menus – School snack and lunch menus are available in the school lobby for parents to take home.

Pastor's crossNCLC Pastor’s Corner

Welcome to a new school year at NCLC! I hope you had a great summer and come to a new school year refreshed and renewed! As Pastor of NCLC and with all the staff at NCLC, I would like to help you and your child have the best learning and growing experience here at NCLC.

Part of learning and growing is developing your relationship with God. As we did last year, in addition to the normal curriculum, your child will be learning about God in a weekly Bible story. This year the children will be having at least one Bible story per week with a follow up activity at another time during the week. During the month of September, all NCLC students will learn that God created the world, everything in it, even us! Twos through Kindergarten will learn that because He loves us, God created a beautiful garden for Adam and Eve to live in and that God walked with them in the garden; because He loves us, He forgives us when we do wrong things. Pre-K through Kindergarten will learn because God loves us, He protected Noah and his family through the biggest flood the world has ever seen!

NCLC Students will also learn a new Bible verse and song every month. They will bring home papers that illustrate the Bible story they listened to. Please ask them about it. It will help them remember

If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.

Pastor Shirley (Kaltenbach)
