NCLC Pastor’s Corner
It’s April! It’s Spring! We have more than 12 hours of daylight!
I hope your family had an opportunity to celebrate Easter with your friends and family. Community Chapel had a wonderful celebration at Nashua High North!
During the weeks following Easter is a good time to think about God’s amazing love for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to pay the ultimate price to have a relationship with us. I have been privileged to have a relationship with God for 60 years and His love still amazes me.
Bible Story Themes: After Easter the children will learn that Jesus was seen alive by over 5,000 people. All classes will learn that after Jesus was seen alive by many people, He spent some time with His disciples. He gave His friends some parting words of encouragement and ascended into Heaven.
Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the story they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.
A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.
If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.

Nancy’s Notes
Dear Parents,
My new hand drums that I ordered in September finally arrived. In the preschool and kindergarten we had fun playing different rhythms on them, using them as steering wheels to sing the Car Song, and turning them over to listen to the echo as we sang into them. But the most popular activity was playing a marching band in a parade. We put on Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever and marched to different levels of the beat while holding our drum in one hand and tapping it with the other. When the music got quieter, we marched on our tiptoes while I pointed out the piccolo playing high above the orchestra. Then when the trumpets, trombones and big drums came in, we stomped and banged our drums loudly. We had a lot of fun, and the children worked on some valuable coordination skills. The toddlers found many different things to do with their drums, and were intrigued by the sound that was made when they tapped them.
In April we will bring back the popular John the Rabbit game, play some musical parachute games, and continue with some easy folk dances.
Happy Singing!
Nancy
