It’s April! It’s Spring! We have more than 12 hours of daylight!
By the time you get this newsletter, you probably will have already celebrated Easter. I hope you had a great time celebrating the wonderful triumph of Jesus over death and that you were able to spend some time with your family resting and having a good time.

I hope you also had time to think about God’s amazing love for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to pay the ultimate price to have a relationship with us. I have been privileged to have a relationship with God for over 60 years and His love still amazes me.

Easter is also a good time to talk with your children about God’s love and His amazing sacrifice for us. There are a lot of great books you might want to read with your children to help introduce Easter and why we celebrate it.

Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the story they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.

In April in NCLC we will be doing all kinds of great things around Spring. We will be talking about how Jesus appeared to many people after he arose from the dead, how He gave instructions to His followers to tell everyone about Him, and how He ascended into Heaven.

Next Chapel Date: May 9th at 9:30 (Preschool through Kindergarten) and 10:00 AM (Younger Toddlers through Transitional Preschool) in the Fellowship Hall. Welcome to any family member who would like to come.

A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.

If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356. I would love to pray with you about them and help in any way I can.

musical noteNancy’s Notes

Dear Parents,

We have been having lots of fun with our kitchen “instrument” instruments this month. The children choose a few items (measuring cups, spoons, bowls, etc.) to bang together and we make a kitchen band to play to the beat of the music. This is something I’m sure some of you have done at home, but if you haven’t, it’s a fun musical activity to do with your child! We have also had a good time with our parachute – practicing moving together as a group to move the parachute up and down to the music, and bouncing a ball on top of it and see how long we can keep the ball from falling off. We use the song “Pop, Goes the Weasel” and pop the ball up in the air.

Next month we will be in full swing with our Spring songs – John the Rabbit and Dancing with Teddy, to name a couple.

Happy Singing!
