The marvelous thing about learning style is that every teacher can help to provide a warm prevailing breeze to lift all those “Kites” and help them soar. Sometimes the strings may get tangled up, but now we can understand how a little more dimension and space can keep them free and flying.

Look For Summer Program Registration March 9th – March 13th

We will hold summer program registration for in-house families from March 9 –13. On March 16th enrollment will open up to the public. We have quite a few new families that are enrolled for September that are interested in starting their children on June 22nd therefore we must know what our current families needs are. A registration form and summer program flyer will be sent home this week to all current students. There is no registration fee for the summer. Summer program starts June 22nd.

Spring Fundraiser

“Oh no, another fundraiser!”
“What do they do with all that money?”
“Doesn’t the tuition pay for anything?”

These are some of the questions you may ask yourself when you see a fundraiser brochure come home. We know that parents may question the reason for fundraising campaigns and we know that they may become burdensome. We want you to know how much we depend on the proceeds and how much we appreciate your loyalty and participation.

Proceeds from each sale enable us to keep the cost of tuition down and allow us to provide an enriched school experience for your child. Our fall fundraiser earned $3500 We hope that our spring fundraising campaign will match our profits from our fall campaign.

I would like to share with you how the proceeds are being spent. Here are some of the exciting things we have already done and plan to do for the remainder of the school year.

  • Special Events
    • The Greg and Axel Magic Show
    • The Migrating Butterfly Workshop
    • Steve Blunt Concert
    • Maple Sugaring Workshop
    • Romper Rhythm Puppets
    • Lil’ Iguana Safety Program
  • Playground Equipment

March is here already! The days are getting longer. I was sitting in the car in the sun the other day and it was actually warm! I hope you and your family have had an opportunity to enjoy this winter. It is almost over. This month we will be leading up to Palm Sunday which is March 29th and Easter, April 5th.

Bible Story Themes: During the weekly Bible story and follow up activity, the Toddler 1 group will be learning that God made them, He made babies and bigger children and He made families. The Toddler 2 – Kindergarten will hear that Jesus walked on water and that Jesus loves children. They will hear how Zachaeus wanted to see Jesus so much, he climbed a tree! The last week in March all age levels will hear how Jesus came to Jerusalem and all the people cheered for Him, waving palm branches and laying the cloaks on the road. Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the story they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.

A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help. If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.
