Jelly Bean Prayer
Red is for the blood He gave.
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made.
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow.
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
A bag of jelly beans
So colorful and sweet
Is a prayer, is a promise,
Is a loved one’s treat.

NCLC Pastor’s Corner
It’s April! It’s spring! We have more than 12 hours of daylight!
This year Easter is April 5th. So, we will be leading up to and celebrating Jesus’ resurrection at NCLC. I hope your family will have an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful event at your local church. If you don’t have anyone to celebrate with, please come celebrate with us. We will be celebrating in the auditorium at Nashua High North at 10AM. Child care will be available.
During the weeks following Easter is a good time to think about God’s amazing love for us. He loves us so much that He was willing to pay the ultimate price to have a relationship with us. I have been privileged to have a relationship with God for 59 years and His love still amazes me. I hope you have a wonderful Easter.
Bible Story Themes: All ages will learn that God loves us so much that He came to earth as Jesus. He took all our sin on Himself and paid the price in death for our sin. He did that because He loves us and wants a relationship with us. And He showed that He conquered death and sin by rising from the dead on Easter Sunday. What victory and joy! It is ours to share with Him if we accept that He is the one who paid for our sins. We will be celebrating His life together.
After Easter the children will learn that Jesus was seen alive by over 5,000 people. T1 through Preschool ages will learn that after Jesus was seen alive by many people, He spent some time with His disciples. He gave His friends some parting words of encouragement and ascended into Heaven.
Your child will be bringing home pictures they have colored and possibly a craft project relating to the story they have heard. Please ask them about the story. It will help them remember.
A Request: If there are any changes in your family, please let me know. Changes in the family, even the loss of a well-loved pet, can deeply affect a child. We would like to be aware so that we can help your child through this difficult time. And, I would like to pray for you and your child and help you in any way that I or Community Chapel can help.
If you have any questions about my role at NCLC, the Bible curriculum, helping your child develop his/her relationship with God, or any family concerns, please call me at NCLC, 603-883-4356.
